Cornerstone Real-Time Availability Checks

The Cornerstone DataLink integration was improved to check in real-time if an appointment slot is still available. This helps prevent double booking conflicts if multiple clients are trying to book the same opening via AVA simultaneously, or if a client is booking an appointment at the same time the staff is adding one in Cornerstone.

If the time is no longer available, AVA offers new appointment openings.

AVA Outbound - Improved Appointment Confirmation Handling

AVA now does not confirm any appointment to the client until the appointment has actually been booked, avoiding discrepancies between what AVA tells the client and does.

AVA Outbound - Call Forwarding

If AVA connects to the client but cannot fulfill the booking request, or the client requests to be transferred back to the office, AVA can now forward the call to the practice instead of just prompting the client to call the practice directly.

AVA Chat - Allow Disabling Chat Function

Previously, the AVA Chat widget required that prescription and chat modules be enabled to support refill requests, because all prescription requests are handled via chat. Now, prescription handling can be enabled without displaying the "Ask any question" option within the widget.

AVA Booking Notifications - Show Provider Name

In the booking notification emails, previously only the selected provider ID was displaying. Now, the notification email also includes the provider's name.

AVA OSS Enhancements

A new version of the OSS app was deployed with the following changes:

• Provides deposit visibility for new/existing client from main booking summary page.
• Allows reason-specific override of booking duration. For example, if a standard vaccination takes 15 minutes but should take 30 minutes with a certain resource, that can be configured.
• Allows configuration of public display name for providers and calendar resources.
• Consolidated view of booking resources, only listing the resources which are configured as available for booking. This helps simplify the visibility particularly for PiMS which return a large volume of providers (ezyVet).
• Support creation of new booking types directly from app.
• Allow resource-specific hour definition. Specific hours can be set for a provider/calendar resource to override the general availability. If this availability is defined from the PiMS (ezyVet, Shepherd), the option is disabed.

AVA Chat - Phone Number Lookup Correction

Previously, if a phone number was passed with any sort of characters (parentheses, hyphens), these were passed to the API when trying to match the client and were preventing existing client recognition. Now, those extra characters are stripped, allowing for more accurate client identification.
